Many "youth’s digital projects"

Promoting the core role of youth in the application of information technology and digital transformation to successfully implement local development goals, the Provincial Youth Union directed lower chapters to launch activities following actual situation in the province in associated with 6 smart urban criteria (electronic government, smart residents, smart environment, smart economy, smart mobility and smart security).

Bac Giang City is the key area for implementing the Bac Giang Urban Master Planning Project of Bac Giang province during 2021-2030 period, including the goal of building Bac Giang as a green and smart urban area.

Bac Giang municipal Youth Union closely followed the direction of the Provincial Youth Union and City Party Committee to register projects and tasks associated with the development of a green and smart Bac Giang City. In last March, the unit piloted to build "smart residential group" at Nam Giang 1 residential group in Xuong Giang ward.

The youth implemented project to install security cameras and digital maps of cultural and historical relics in Bac Giang city in the cultural house area. The Municipal Youth Union also implemented the project "Digital mailbox listens to people's opinions" through QR codes posted at cultural houses, community service areas, one-stop shop, agencies and schools in the locality.

In building smart cities, the youth organizations at all levels promote to exploit data connectivity and sharing via the Internet to create a unified information ecosystem and provide an official, safe data source for the citizen.

Outstanding projects like "Digital Library" and "Electronic Bookcase" via QR codes are launched by units at cultural houses and schools. Devices, software systems, and applications can collect and analyze data to make smart decisions, helping people make optimal choices.

Improve digital capacity for young people

Viet Yen is an area with many workers from other provinces staying in boarding rooms so there are a lot of Internet users in industrial parks and clusters. To create favorable conditions for them to use services and perform non-cash payment transactions, Viet Yen Township Union installed 19 free wifi hotspots at 19 cultural houses in Quang Chau ward, Viet Tien commune and Minh Duc commune.

In addition, the unit also organized volunteer teams to guide and support people in using online public services. Since its establishment, the community digital technology groups of youth in communes and wards have supported people to create more than 22,000 online public service accounts.

The implementation of the movement "Youth participate in building civilized cities" has created positive social effects, attracted a large number of youth participants.

In implementing the "digital economy", Yen Dung District Youth Union has organized "4.0 Youth Markets" to promote, introduce and connect the consumption of agricultural products and OCOP products of local youth and farmers. The products displayed and sold in booths all have QR codes.

Besides, the youth union branches also supported nearly 300 business households and people in the area to register a store in e-commerce platforms such as shopee.vn, lazada.vn, sendo.vn.

To further support to build smart urban areas in the province, in the coming time, the Provincial Youth Union closely follows the local socio-economic tasks and the leadership and direction of the province to organize appropriate activities.
