Bac Giang’s localities carry out a number of activities towards martyrs’ day

(BGO)- On the 72nd anniversary of War Invalid and Martyrs' Day July 27 (1947 - 2019), the People’s Committee of Hiep Hoa district in northern province of Bac Giang has been organising 5 delegations to visit and present gifts to 10 national contributors in the district by 25 July. 

These national contributors include the martyrs’ mothers and wives named Nguyen Thi Vuong in Dong Tan commune, Nguyen Thi Lua in Thai Son commune, Nguyen Thi Hien and Ngo Thi Sen in Huong Lam commune, Tran Thi Tran in Hung Son commune and Nguyen Thi Tinh in Hoa Son commune, war invalids and sick soldiers named Ngo Van Chin, Van Dang Khoa in Thuong Thang commune and 2 agent orange victims in Hoa Son and Hoang An communes.

The War Veteran Union of Ngoc Chau commune starts building the martyrs cemetery’s gate.

Besides, the leaders of Hiep Hoa district visited and presented gifts at the Provincial Nursing Center for the National Contributors on this occasion.

After 2 months of construction, Viet Tien commune, Viet Yen district completed the project upgrading the communal Martyrs Cemetery in early July. This construction values at nearly 800 million VND (34,614 USD) including 500 million VND (21,634 USD) funded by provincial budget and the rest from the local budget. This cemetery is home to some 140 martyrs born in this commune who devoted their lives for the national liberation.

With the nation’s tradition “when you eat a fruit, think of the man who planted the tree”, the communal party committee, government and unions of Viet Tien commune visited and presented gifted to show gratitude to Heroic Vietnamese Mother Hoang Thi La born in 1921 at hamlet 7 and other national contributors on the occasion of 27 July.

The War Veteran Union of Ngoc Chau commune, Tan Yen district has started constructing the item of the communal martyrs cemetery’s gate.

This construction is 8.9- metre high and 4.9-metre wide with stone walling and tiled roof valued at 100 million VND (4,327 USD). In which, the communal War Veteran Union called each member to support at least 1 pack of cement while the rest fund had been mobilized from society.

Completing house support for revolutionary contributors in 2019
(BGO) – On April 17, Vice Chairman of the Bac Giang provincial People’s Committee (PPC) Le Anh Duong chaired a meeting to review and assess the result of house support for the revolutionary contributors in the province according to the Decision No.22/2013/QD-TTg issued by the Government Prime Minister.

Tet gifts offerred to national contributors and social policy beneficiaries
