Bac Giang’s Tan Yen district aims for 50 hi-tech farms in 2020

Of the total, 15 will be fruit farms and the rest are mixed, with average revenue of 2.5-8 billion VND each farm per year. The province plans to allocate 2-3 billion VND to help owners of the farms expand production.
Each farm with a concentrated fruit cultivation area of one hectare and above will receive between 35-70 million VND to install a drip irrigation system and buy fertiliser and pesticides.
Also, those renting land to form 5-hectare farms and larger will be provided with five million VND per hectare each year, while every green house farm with an area from 1,000 square meters and above will be assisted with 70 million VND.
Currently, the district has 350 farms meeting Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development standards.
Tan Yen is a mountainous locality of Bắc Giang spread across 204 square kilometers. It is located about 15km from Bắc Giang city and 30km from Hanoi’s Sóc Sơn district, and 40km from Thái Nguyên city. It is bordered by Yen The district and Phú Bình district (Thái Nguyên province) to the north, by Lạng Giang district to the east, by Hiệp Hòa district to the west, and by Việt Yên and Bắc Giang city to the south. |
