Updated: 14:14, 15/10/2025

BAC NINH - On the morning of October 14, Vuong Quoc Tuan, Alternate Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, and Chairman of the People’s Committee of Bac Ninh province (PPC), worked with Luxshare ICT Co., Ltd in Van Trung Industrial Park and Fuyu Precision Technology Co., Ltd of Foxconn Group in Quang Chau Industrial Park to assess production recovery following recent floods.

At the meeting, Luxshare ICT representatives said that the heavy rains had flooded internal roads, affecting the power system and some equipment.

With timely coordination and support from relevant authorities, the company had quickly overcome the difficulties and resumed normal operations. The firm currently employs more than 30,000 workers.

Zhou Yiwen, General Director of Foxconn Vietnam, noted that after more than 18 years of investment in Vietnam, the company has consistently received strong support from Bac Ninh authorities, allowing it to expand operations and employ over 100,000 workers.

Foxconn plans to recruit an additional 50,000 workers in the fourth quarter of this year and expressed hope that the province would continue improving infrastructure to ensure stable production.

Provincial departments and agencies discussed and responded to the companies’ requests, which included labor recruitment, electricity supply, drainage systems, traffic congestion during rush hours, water supply and waste treatment, along with both short-term and long-term flood prevention and production protection measures in industrial parks.

During the visits, PPC Chairman Vuong Quoc Tuan praised the resilience and determination of enterprises in overcoming the recent floods.

Despite widespread rainfall, most industrial zones and clusters in the province remained safe. He noted that such flooding is rare in Bac Ninh and reaffirmed that protecting industrial production safety is vital to the province’s socio-economic stability.

The provincial leader commended the efforts of local agencies in flood response and emphasized that Bac Ninh will continue to research and implement stronger, more proactive measures to mitigate the impact of natural disasters.

He pledged that the province would immediately address infrastructure, electricity, traffic, and waste management issues, with both immediate and long-term solutions.

“Our consistent principle,” he said, “is to make every effort to ensure uninterrupted industrial production and to build a stable, sustainable, and investor-friendly business environment.”

The Chairman assigned relevant sectors and localities to promptly resolve businesses’ proposals. The Bac Ninh Industrial Parks Authority will coordinate with departments—especially those for agriculture and environment—to assess water flow and develop drainage plans for each industrial zone and locality.

The Power sector was asked to review electricity quality and identify the causes of power outages to provide timely remedies. Meanwhile, the provincial police will continue traffic regulation around industrial zones.

The PPC Chairman reaffirmed that investors can remain confident and secure in Bac Ninh.

Through this natural disaster, he said, the province will further improve and enhance its investment and business climate, making Bac Ninh an increasingly attractive and resilient destination for enterprises.
