VND-denominated deposits totaled an estimated 366 trillion VND, accounting for 88.2% of total deposits, while foreign currency deposits stood at around 49 trillion VND, or 11.8%.

By deposit type, savings and time deposits reached approximately 294 trillion VND, representing 70.8% of total mobilized funds. Demand deposits amounted to 117.3 trillion VND, accounting for 28.3%, while certificates of deposit and other valuable papers totaled 3.7 trillion VND, or 0.9%.

The central bank attributed the growth to commercial lenders' efforts to diversify deposit products, improve customer services and accelerate the adoption of digital banking technologies.

Expanded communication campaigns have also helped individuals and businesses gain easier access to modern banking and financial services.

The province's banking network continued to expand during the period, while cashless payment services, digital banking, Internet banking and mobile banking recorded strong growth, strengthening customer confidence and attracting idle capital from households and businesses.

The State Bank said the stable increase in deposits would provide a solid funding base for credit institutions to expand lending for production and business activities, support priority sectors and key growth drivers, and contribute to Bac Ninh's socio-economic development in the second half of the year.
