Bac Ninh crowns winners of 2026 Robocon finals
BAC NINH - Organisers of the Bac Ninh Robocon Competition held the final round and award ceremony at the provincial gymnasium on April 12, honouring outstanding teams at the 2026 contest.
The event drew 72 teams and senior provincial officials, including Mai Son, Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee, and Lam Thi Huong Thanh, Vice Chairwoman of the Provincial People’s Council.

Held under the theme “Bac Ninh takes flight”, the competition was launched since October 2025, attracting 879 registered teams, of which 602 qualify for the preliminary round.
The contest was organised with a comprehensive digital transformation approach, covering management, operations, technical execution and communications.
Teams competed directly using real robots on simulated fields, with around 30% completing all assigned tasks, reflecting improvements in students’ thinking, skills and technological mastery.

At the final round, the 72 best teams competed across three age-based categories, ranging from 9 to 18 years old.
Contest contents included robot assembly, programming and calibration, as well as group-stage matches, knockout rounds and finals. Participants were also required to handle real-life scenarios and unexpected challenges announced by organisers.
Organisers awarded three first prizes, six second prizes, nine third prizes and 30 consolation prizes. First-prize winners received gold medals and cash awards of 12 million VND (over 455 USD) each.
The top teams included Jupiter-DKQ (representing kindergartens and primary schools) in Group A, Tu Son Robocon (Tu Son Secondary School) in Group B, and 24FPS (Viet Yen No.1 High School) in Group C. Seven additional awards were presented to recognise creativity, competitive spirit and perseverance.

On this occasion, organisers also launched the expanded Bac Ninh Robocon 2026, scheduled for July, with nationwide participation. The competition will feature two categories: O1 (ages 9–15) and O2 (ages 16–22), with registration opening from April 20, 2026.
Speaking at the ceremony, Ngo Chi Vinh, Chairman of the provincial Union of Science and Technology Associations and head of the Organising Committee, said the competition has been a success.
He noted that beyond being a technology playground, the event helps discover and nurture young talent while promoting STEM education in schools, contributing to the development of a high-quality workforce for the province’s digital transformation and socio-economic growth.
