Two Bac Ninh students win silver at world robot competition
BAC NINH – Two students from Vietnam’s Bac Ninh province have won silver medals at the 2025 World Robot Conference, held from Aug 8 to 12 in Beijing (China) under the theme “Making robots smarter, humanoid robots more intelligent.”
The event brought together 28 international organisations, more than 10,000 contestants from 20 countries and territories, and over 200 companies showcasing some 1,500 products, including more than 100 making their debut.

The competition featured innovative humanoid robots designed for industrial production, medical care, home services and other applications, many equipped with new functions.
Vietnam’s delegation won two championship cups, two gold medals and six silver medals. The silver medalists from Bac Ninh were Hoang Phu Khang, a 7th grader at Thang Town Secondary School, and Nguyen Duy Khanh, an 8th grader at Luong Phong Secondary School, both from Hiep Hoa commune.
Earlier this year, the pair claimed first place in Group C at the 2025 World Robocon qualifying round in Binh Duong ward, Ho Chi Minh City, earning a place in the world finals in Beijing.
