According to authorities in Phuc Hoa commune, more than 20 tonnes of lychees have so far been exported to North America through DragonBerry Produce JSC.

The fruit is sourced from orchards cultivated under safe farming standards and granted planting area codes in Phuc Hoa. The lychees are then packaged at Vifoco Import-Export JSC in Tien Phong ward, a facility certified for fresh lychee exports to North America and approved by U.S. authorities.

The continued strong consumption of Phuc Hoa early ripening lychees in the North American market is helping enhance the brand value and competitiveness of local agricultural products.

This year, Phuc Hoa lychees are reported to have high quality and are well received by consumers. The commune has sold around 3,000 tonnes of lychees so far, equivalent to about 40% of total output.

The packaging facility at Vifoco Import-Export JSC has been certified by U.S. authorities.

Alongside enterprises that purchase and distribute products directly from orchards, the commune also has more than 40 concentrated purchasing points operated by traders, helping farmers sell their produce more efficiently.

The harvest is expected to peak from now until the end of May.

Bac Ninh promotes lychee tourism with 36 model orchards

According to the Bac Ninh Centre for Culture and Tourism Promotion, the orchards must comply with VietGAP, GlobalGAP or organic production standards while offering suitable conditions for experiential tourism activities. They are also required to connect with nearby tourist attractions, craft villages and historical sites to form integrated tour routes.
