Bac Ninh fosters cooperation with RoK’s enterprises in developing semiconductor human resources

BAC NINH - The Korea Chamber of Business in Vietnam (KOCHAM) and Letuin High-tech Vietnam Company Limited on October 1 had a working session with some departments and agencies of Bac Ninh province at the Department of Science and Technology on fostering human resource development in semiconductor industry. 

The meeting was attended by representatives of some provincial departments and agencies, Kim Jun Ho, Chief Executive Officer of Letuin Korea, Prof. Rino Choi, senior expert in semiconductor from INHA University and representative of Letuin High-tech Vietnam Company Limited.

At the meeting, Kim Jun Ho and Prof. Rino Choi expressed their thanks for warm and open welcome by related agencies in Bac Ninh province.

Besides, they gave a brief introduction of the company, Korea’s policies for human resource development in semiconductor industry, experience in high-quality human resource training as well as specialized training model in this field.

Letuin Korea is a pioneering enterprise in high-tech skills training, headquartered in Seoul (Republic of Korea (RoK)) with a branch in Hanoi. The company has built a comprehensive educational ecosystem, including online/offline courses, publishing materials and developing virtual reality contents on the Metaverse platform.

Letuin Korea’s vision is to popularize high-tech knowledge and narrow the gap between businesses and jobs seekers with an aim to train the workforce to reach the qualification equivalent to 2-year experienced employees.

Letuin Korea is focusing on 5 key sectors including semiconductor, display screen, motor/electric vehicles, rechargeable battery, pharmacy and biotechnology.

The company expected to cooperate with Bac Ninh province in researching and implementing scientific projects and solutions for developing semiconductor human resources, helping Bac Ninh to become a semiconductor industry center in Vietnam and the region.

Representatives of some departments and agencies stressed the strength of Bac Ninh province in development of electronic, cutting-edge and semiconductor industries. In addition, the province has conducted a number of policies to support and drive investment.

Bac Ninh province is home to 33 industrial parks with a total area of 10,171 hectares and 93 industrial clusters covering 3,497 hectares.

The presence of many giant corporations with modern production technologies has contributed to changing the structure of the province’s industrial products.

Bac Ninh province is aimed at comprehensive development of semiconductor industry in coming time. The provincial Department of Science and Technology will cooperate with KOCHAM and the company to make plans for implementation of the cooperation programme.

Regarding the recommendations of the company, the Department will advise the provincial People’s Committee to carry out science and technology tasks in late 2025 or early 2026 based on the Memorandum of Understanding between the provincial People’s Committee and KOCHAM Vietnam to ensure progress and efficiency.
