The systems will be installed at seven 110kV substations, including Yen Phong 3, Yen Phong 4, Duc Thang, Lang Giang, Doi Coc, Song Khe and Song Cau, with a combined investment of about 422 billion VND (16 million USD).

Each project will have a storage capacity of 5 MW and an energy capacity of 10 MWh, comprising battery units, power conversion systems, transformers, ring main units (RMU), power cables and supporting infrastructure.

The BESS facilities are designed to store electricity for use when needed, helping to supplement supply during shortages, reduce pressure on existing transformers during peak demand periods and improve reserve capacity to ensure stable and uninterrupted electricity for businesses and households.

Construction began in early June. The system at the Song Cau 110kV substation is scheduled for completion in the fourth quarter of 2026, while the remaining six projects are expected to come online in the third quarter of the year.

The projects are expected to strengthen the province's power supply capacity, supporting industrial expansion, investment attraction and economic growth in the coming years.
