Bac Ninh opens 2026 trade and tourism fair
BAC NINH - The Bac Ninh Department of Industry and Trade on March 25 held the opening ceremony of the 2026 Bac Ninh Trade and Tourism Fair at the provincial Culture and Tourism Promotion Center in the southern urban area of Bac Giang ward.
Pham Van Thinh, member of the provincial Party Standing Committee and Vice Chairman of the People’s Committee, attended the event, alongside officials from the Ministry of Industry and Trade, local departments and authorities, and representatives of businesses, retailers, cooperatives and artisans.

Speaking at the ceremony, Nguyen Minh Hieu, Director of the Department and Head of the Organizing Committee, said the fair is part of a series of events marking the UNESCO recognition of the Yen Tu–Vinh Nghiem–Con Son, Kiep Bac complex as a World Cultural Heritage site, as well as the inscription of Dong Ho folk painting on the list of intangible cultural heritage in need of urgent safeguarding.
The fair aims to promote the province’s potential in trade, services and tourism, while showcasing the culture and people of the Kinh Bac region and expanding cooperation opportunities among localities and businesses at home and abroad.

Running from March 24 to March 30, the event features around 200 booths from provinces and cities nationwide, with participation from enterprises, cooperatives and artisans.
The exhibition space is divided into sections, including 50 booths from industry and trade departments and trade promotion centers, 30 booths from local communes and wards, and 120 commercial booths from businesses across the country.

Products on display range from OCOP goods and regional specialties to handicrafts, rural industrial products and tourism services, highlighting local strengths and supporting domestic market development and brand competitiveness of Vietnamese goods.
At the event, the department also announced presidential decisions awarding the titles of People’s Artisan to one individual and Meritorious Artisan to four others in recognition of their contributions to preserving traditional cultural values.
Nguyen Dinh Vinh of Lien Bao commune received the People’s Artisan title, while Ngo Van Phap, Vu Tien Thao, Nguyen Dang Tam and Dang Ngoc Quyet were awarded the Meritorious Artisan title.
