During the month, the province licensed 19 domestic projects and 39 FDI projects, with registered capital totaling 18.9 trillion VND (718 million USD) and 117.4 million USD, respectively.

Authorities also approved capital increases for 13 domestic projects and 21 foreign-invested projects, adding 3.1 trillion VND and 112.4 million USD in additional investment.

In the first four months of 2026, Bac Ninh attracted more than 6.1 billion USD in equivalent investment capital. The province granted licenses to 75 new domestic projects with total registered capital of 119.7 trillion VND and 121 new FDI projects worth 395.4 million USD.

Authorities also approved additional capital for 30 domestic projects totaling 5.57 trillion VND and 93 FDI projects with combined additional investment of 801 million USD.

Bac Ninh ranked fourth nationwide in FDI attraction during the January-April period, according to provincial data.

The province also recorded strong business formation activity. In the first four months of the year, 2,907 new enterprises were established with total registered capital of 63.3 trillion VND. Authorities also registered 95 branches and representative offices, along with 1,114 new business locations.

In April alone, Bac Ninh granted business registration certificates to 1,026 enterprises, 35 branches and representative offices, and 352 business locations, with total registered capital of 8.94 trillion VND.

To sustain investment growth, provincial authorities said Bac Ninh would continue implementing measures aimed at improving the business environment and supporting enterprises in expanding production and market access.

The province is also accelerating land clearance and infrastructure development for industrial parks and industrial clusters in order to create ready-built industrial land and attract further investment.

Ho Chi Minh City needs to strengthen investment in supply chain data systems, smart warehouses, regional logistics centres and inland container depots, while promoting stronger linkages between FDI firms, large domestic companies and small and medium-sized enterprises to support technology transfer and workforce development.
