Each contestant of Vietnamese team was sponsored 1,000 USD and necessary devices by the Organising Committee to participate in the contest.

Two teams of four students from Bac Ninh province compete in the World Robot Contest Finals (WRCF).

The team competing in the secondary school category (BG STEAM 2) includes Nguyen Xuan Bao Minh, a grade-8 student of Canh Thuy secondary school in Canh Thuy ward and Vi Trong Kien, a grade-8 student of FPT Bac Giang integrated school.

The team in the primary school category (BG STEAM 1) includes Hoang Thuy Anh, a grade-5 student of Le Hong Phong primary school and Nguyen Hoang Gia Thao, a grade-4 student of Ngo Si Lien primary school in Bac Giang ward.

The contest brought together students from 150 countries and territories.

The Vietnamese team attends the contest.

The Organising Committee provided a sand table and required contestants to operate their robots within the sand table to complete a series of assigned tasks.

The challenges required participating teams to quickly analyze the tasks, develop algorithms, program the robots’ operating procedures and handle arising situations, ensuring that the robots could complete the tasks scientifically and intelligently and reach the finish line in the shortest time.

Previously, both teams comprising 4 students from Bac Ninh province won 2 first prizes at the SPORT OLYMPIAD category within the 2026 Vietnam STEAM, AI and Robotics Championships (VSAR) co-organised by Tien Phong Newspaper, the Central Council of the Ho Chi Minh Young Pioneers Organization, the National Innovation Center (NIC) and Hanoi University of Science and Technology in May 2026.
