Particularly, the gifts worth 2.5 billion VND (96 USD) per each will be presented to Heroic Vietnamese Mothers, individuals participating in revolutionary activities before 1 January 1945 and from 1 January 1945 until the August Revolution of 1945, heroes of the People’s Armed Forces, Labour Heroes during the resistance wars, war invalids, type B war invalids, beneficiaries with similar status, persons who participated in resistance activities and were exposed to toxic chemicals with a working capacity loss of 81 percent or higher, relatives of martyrs who are receiving monthly allowances, relatives of two or more martyrs who are receiving monthly survivor allowances and those who assisted the revolutions.

Meanwhile, the gift level of 1.5 million VND (57.5 USD) applies to war invalids, type B war invalids and beneficiaries with similar status (including sick soldiers who are receiving working capacity loss allowances), sick soldiers, persons who participated in resistance activities and were exposed to toxic chemicals with an impairment rate of below 81 percent, individuals who took part in revolutionary activities or resistance wars and were imprisoned or exiled by the enemies, representatives of martyrs’ relatives, or those who worship martyrs and children of resistance activists exposed to toxic chemicals.

Besides, the province will give gifts to 7 care and treatment facilities (both within and outside the province) accommodating war invalids and sick veterans from Bac Ninh.

This year the gift level for outstanding national contributors in the province (tally 48 people) is 2.5 million VND (96 USD).

Apart from a gift worth 500,000 VND (19.2 USD) for each, 216 social assistance beneficiaries in the public facilities will receive meal allowances for 5-day Tet holiday at a rate of 300,000 VND (11.5 USD) per day.

In total, the province will spend over 90.4 billion VND (3.47 million USD) to present gifts and allowances to national contributors and social assistance beneficiaries on Lunar New Year occasion.

Government to provide cash gifts to social policy beneficiaries ahead of Tet 2026

People who rendered meritorious services to the revolution, those entitled to social protection, and social pensioners as defined by respective national ordinances, and decrees, together with orphans without guardians or those living in orphanages will receive a cash gift of 400,000 VND (15.2 USD) per person on the occasion of the 14th National Party Congress and the 2026 Lunar New Year (the Year of the Horse).
