The 148.68-hectare industrial park is being developed by Gilimex Bac Giang Industrial Park JSC, with 330 billion VND in equity and the remainder mobilised from other sources.

The project has an operating term of 50 years from the date of investment approval and is scheduled for completion within 30 months of land handover.

The park is planned to selectively attract investment in electronics, semiconductors, precision engineering, machinery and electrical equipment, auto components, supporting industries, logistics, and research and technology development.

About 63 hectares has been handed over in the first phase, with site clearance, roads and a wastewater treatment plant under construction to prepare serviced land for secondary investors.

Speaking at the groundbreaking ceremony, Bac Ninh People's Council Chairman Nguyen Viet Oanh said industry accounts for about 80% of the province's economy and that Bac Ninh would focus on high-tech investment rather than project numbers.

The province will prioritise projects using modern technologies, generating high value-added products and making efficient use of land, energy and other resources while meeting environmental requirements, he said.

The provincial leader said the province would accelerate investment in electricity, water supply and transport links outside industrial parks to support investors.

Gilimex Bac Giang General Director Hoang Tien Dat said the developer would prioritise construction progress while maintaining standards for quality, safety and environmental protection, and support secondary investors with procedures, infrastructure connections and recruitment.

The project is expected to expand Bac Ninh's industrial land supply, create jobs and contribute to local socio-economic development.
