The centre is currently caring for 32 severely wounded and sick veterans from northern provinces, all suffering disability rates of 81% or higher, including three veterans from Bac Ninh.
During the visit, provincial officials expressed gratitude for the sacrifices made by war martyrs, wounded soldiers and veterans in Vietnam's struggle for national independence and defence, reaffirming the province's commitment to ensuring timely support policies and improving their living conditions.
The delegation presented gifts and cash worth 11 million VND (418 USD) to the centre and additional gifts to all veterans receiving long-term care there.
The same day, the provincial Labour Federation visited the Bac Ninh Centre for National Contributors, which currently provides lifelong care for 12 severely disabled veterans and plans to offer rehabilitation services to more than 11,300 national contributors and relatives of martyrs in 2026.
To mark the anniversary, central and provincial authorities have allocated 63.5 billion VND to renovate martyrs' cemeteries and memorial sites.
The funding will support one provincial-level memorial project and 16 others across communes and wards, including upgrades to memorial houses, monuments, cemetery infrastructure and individual graves.
Local authorities aim to complete smaller projects before this year's July 27 commemorations, while larger works will continue according to schedule.
