Bac Ninh strengthens cooperation, investment promotion with foreign localities and organisations
BAC NINH - A delegation from Bac Ninh province led by Tran Huy Phuong, Deputy Secretary of the provincial Party Committee, paid working visits to Germany, the Czech Republic, and Switzerland from May 21-30.
The delegation also included Le Xuan Loi, Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee; Nguyen Thi Ha, Chairwoman of the provincial Fatherland Front Committee; Nguyen Anh Tuan, Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Council; along with leaders of various provincial departments and agencies.

In Germany, Phuong and the delegation visited and held working sessions with Marzahn district and the Embassy of Vietnam in Germany.
He expressed his sincere appreciation for the warm reception extended by Ambassador Nguyen Dac Thanh and the embassy staff.
He also provided an overview of Bac Ninh’s socio-economic development and proposed that the ambassador and embassy officials support the province in promoting investment opportunities and encouraging German enterprises, particularly those operating in Germany’s areas of strength, to explore investment prospects in Bac Ninh.
During a visit to the city of Cheb in the Czech Republic, Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Loi, on behalf of the leaders of Bac Ninh province, and Ing. Jan Vbra, Mayor of Cheb, signed a cooperation memorandum on delegation exchanges to enhance mutual understanding and strengthen cooperation through the exchange of information and experience in the fields of economy, culture, sports, tourism, education and training, people-to-people exchanges, and other areas of mutual interest.
As part of the programme, Phuong and the delegation also met with members of the Bac Ninh expatriate community in the Czech Republic.
In Switzerland, the delegation visited and worked with the Bühler Group and conducted a study tour of scientific research activities at the University of Zurich.
The Deputy Secretary of the provincial Party Committee and delegation members encouraged Bühler Group leaders to consider Bac Ninh as a destination for investment and development projects in deep agricultural processing, clean food production, high-tech agriculture, the application of advanced technologies, and digital transformation in manufacturing - areas aligned with the strengths and potential of both sides.
Bac Ninh’s leaders reaffirmed their commitment to providing the most favourable conditions regarding administrative procedures, land access, infrastructure, human resources, and investment incentives in accordance with regulations to facilitate the successful implementation of Bühler’s projects.
Provincial authorities and local governments stand ready to accompany, listen to, and support enterprises throughout the investment process.
From May 26 to May 31, Ngo Tan Phuong, Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee, led another provincial delegation to attend the 2026 RCEP Local Government and Friendship Cities Cooperation Forum in China.
The delegation also visited and worked with several Chinese localities to promote friendly relations, investment-trade cooperation, and people-to-people exchanges.
