Mai Son, Standing Vice Chairman of the Bac Ninh People's Committee, has signed Plan No. 324/KH-UBND to organise a ceremony announcing National Assembly Resolution No. 39/2026/QH16, adopted on August 24, 2026, on the establishment of Bac Ninh city.

The ceremony is scheduled from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. at February 3 Square in Bac Giang ward, Bac Ninh province. It will be broadcast live on VTV1 and Bac Ninh Radio and Television, with a live screening at the Kinh Bac Cultural Centre.

The event will officially announce Resolution No. 39/2026/QH16, adopted by the National Assembly on August 24, on the establishment of Bac Ninh city.

The programme will feature a special art performance, a light show and fireworks at two locations, February 3 Square and the Kinh Bac Cultural Centre in Vu Ninh ward.

Leaders of the Party, State, National Assembly and Government are expected to attend, along with representatives of central ministries and agencies, National Assembly deputies from Bac Ninh, provincial and municipal leaders, international organisations, embassies, foreign-invested companies and business associations.

Former and incumbent provincial leaders, officials, Party members and local residents are also expected to take part.

The provincial People's Committee has assigned departments and local authorities to prepare for the event, including reception, security, communications, healthcare, fire prevention and environmental services.

Local authorities have also been asked to promote the event and encourage residents and businesses to decorate urban areas with banners, posters and slogans celebrating the establishment of Bac Ninh city.

The ceremony is seen as marking a new stage in Bac Ninh's urban development, with the province seeking to strengthen its economic potential and promote faster and more sustainable growth.
