Organised by the provincial Department of Industry and Trade, the fair is a highlight in activities marking the ceremony to receive UNESCO certification for the Yen Tu - Vinh Nghiem - Con Son, Kiep Bac complex as a World Cultural Heritage site, the inscription of Dong Ho folk painting on the List of Intangible Cultural Heritage in Need of Urgent Safeguarding, and the “Returning to the Heritage Region – 2026” festival.

The event aims to promote Bac Ninh’s potential and strengths in trade, tourism and services, while introducing the land, people, cultural identity and key products associated with UNESCO-recognised heritage values.

It is also expected to create a vibrant atmosphere for residents and visitors, enhancing the province’s profile in the process of integration and development.

According to organisers, the fair will feature around 200 standard booths (3 metres by 3 metres). These include 50 booths representing trade promotion and industrial extension agencies from provinces and cities nationwide, 30 booths from wards and communes within Bac Ninh, and about 120 commercial booths operated by enterprises from both inside and outside the province.

Displayed products will range from outstanding rural industrial goods, OCOP (One Commune One Product) items, regional specialties, handicrafts and cuisine to consumer goods, information technology products and financial-tourism services.

The opening ceremony is scheduled for the evening of March 24, with around 200 delegates from central and local authorities expected to attend. Throughout the week-long event, a series of business networking activities, trade connection programmes and economic contract signings will be held alongside cultural and artistic performances.

Organisers stressed that the fair will be conducted in a professional and efficient manner, ensuring security, fire safety and environmental hygiene, with the goal of spreading heritage values and promoting sustainable trade and tourism development in the province.
