Suoi Mo Ecotourism Area in Nghia Phuong commune attracted between 5,000 and 8,000 visitors daily, several times higher than the same period last year. Tourists flocked to the site for temple worship, sightseeing, camping and stream bathing amid the mountainous landscape.
The management board said infrastructure and scenery had been upgraded, while roads leading to temples and pagodas were kept safe and accessible. Services for visitors, including camping guidance and outdoor activity support, were also improved.
At Tay Yen Tu spiritual and ecological tourism complex, visitor numbers also surged from last year. Tourists from many provinces traveled to the site to pray at ancient pagodas and visit the newly inaugurated Hoa Nghiem Bell Tower, which has become a popular check-in destination.
To accommodate rising demand, the tourism site increased cable car operations and launched a promotion offering one free ticket for every three tickets purchased.
The traditional Do Temple Festival, held during the national holiday period this year, also drew large crowds to the special national relic site in Tu Son ward.
On the festival’s opening day, tens of thousands of residents and tourists attended processions and incense-offering ceremonies, while taking part in cultural and folk activities including Quan Ho folk singing, traditional games, wrestling and human chess performances.
Tourism operators across the province also focused on improving service quality and strengthening safety measures. Authorities stepped up efforts to ensure public security, fire prevention, food safety and traffic management, while businesses were required to publicly list and maintain stable prices.
