“Dear Bac Giang expatriates in the Czech Republic!
In 2020 and the first months of 2021, the Covid-19 pandemic seriously affected the socio-economic activities in Vietnam as well as on the globe. In Bac Giang province, basing on epidemic developments, the provincial Party Committee and People's Committee adopted many policies and measures to mobilize the engagement of the entire political system and the people in the Covid-19 fight, thus successfully implementing the "dual goal" of promoting economic growth and combating the pandemic. Last year, the local economy grew 13.02 percent, the highest in the country. The province saw many positive results in socio-culture; guaranteed political security, social safety and order; and improved people's lives. Bac Giang has become a promising and attractive destination for domestic and foreign investors.
The above results were obtained thanks to the positive contributions of the Bac Giang community in the Czech Republic. Although you, Bac Giang people living, studying and working in the Czech Republic, were also greatly affected by the Covid-19 pandemic, you tried your best to overcome difficulties, comply with the regulations of the host country and protect yourselves from the pandemic, while providing practical support, both materially and spiritually, for the homeland’s epidemic prevention and control and socio-economic development.
On behalf of the Party Organisation, administration and people of Bac Giang province, I acknowledge, appreciate and send the most respectful and deepest thanks to the Bac Giang community in the Czech Republic for your contributions to the hometown. I also sincerely share the difficulties you are facing due to the effects of the pandemic.
The fight against the Covid-19 still faces many difficulties ahead, requiring greater efforts of authorities at all levels, agencies, localities and people, including the Bac Giang expatriates in general and those in the Czech Republic in particular. I believe that the Bac Giang community in the Czech Republic will continue to unite and support each other, as well as join efforts with the people and Government of the host country to win the pandemic for prosperous development; while always looking towards the homeland in order to make Bac Giang more and more beautiful and civilized.
I wish you all a lot of health, well-being and happiness!
Best regards,”
Chairman of the Bac Giang provincial People's Committee Le Anh Duong
