Crowds flock to exhibition of national achievements

Updated: 16:55, 31/08/2025

The exhibition of national achievements themed “80-Year Journey of Independence – Freedom – Happiness” has drawn tens of thousands of visitors in an atmosphere of celebration and unity.

At the exhibition opened at the National Exposition Center in Hanoi on Aug. 28 to celebrate the 80th anniversary of Vietnam's National Day, six themed display zones offer the public a vivid look at the nation’s arduous yet glorious historical journey of development over the past eight decades.

At the booth on science, technology, innovation, and digital transformation, Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha, along with National Assembly Vice Chairmen Nguyen Khac Dinh and Nguyen Duc Hai, view new products and interacted with a humanoid robot.

The Kim Quy (Golden Turtle) building, the centerpiece of the exhibition, was fully open to the public free of charge.

Crowds surged steadily throughout the day, particularly at the pavilions of the Ministry of National Defence and Ministry of Public Security, where state-of-the-art equipment attracted long lines and became popular photo spots.

At peak hours, the parking lots were filled to capacity, reflecting the event’s remarkable draw.

A series of events are scheduled within the exhibition framework, including a forum on artificial intelligence and the role of data in the digital era, alongside a special cultural performance organised by the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee on Aug. 29, and evening art programmes on Aug. 30 and 31.

All performances are free of charge.
