By November 16, collections from import–export activities reached nearly 14.04 trillion VND, exceeding the target by 2% and rising 18% from a year earlier. Of this, value-added tax accounted for more than 12.506 trillion VND, import tax nearly 1.324 trillion VND and export tax about 138 billion VND.
The increase was driven largely by high contributions from foreign-invested enterprises (FDI), including New Wing Interconnect Technology at Van Trung Industrial Park and Goertek Vina Science & Technology at Que Vo I Industrial Park.
To achieve the result, Customs Sub-department of Region 5 set detailed revenue plans for each subordinate unit and implemented measures to strengthen state management while attracting businesses to carry out customs procedures locally.
The authority reviewed and expanded potential revenue sources, classified and settled outstanding debts, and prevented new arrears in 2025. Anti–revenue loss measures were intensified through strict inspections of customs procedures and tax administration.
“Our team strictly enforces tax management regulations and maintains round-the-clock staffing, including weekends and holidays, to support timely clearance. We closely monitor and prevent fraud related to quantity, valuation, codes, origin and trademarks,” said Luong Tien Dung, Deputy Head of Bac Giang Customs Division.
Risk management and anti-smuggling efforts also saw positive results. Customs–business partnership development remained a priority under the motto “Always accompany, ready to support,” helping strengthen the department’s reputation among enterprises.
Senior leaders held direct working sessions with several companies and organised a customs–business dialogue conference with more than 200 regular import–export firms to address bottlenecks.
