Doctor in Son Dong district honored for donating blood to save patient’ life

(BGO) – The People’s Committee in Son Dong district, Bac Giang province on August 7 presented the Certificate of Merit and an instant cash reward to Doctor Hua Van Hung, Head of the Department of Traditional Medicine in district General Hospital who donated the precious blood to save the patient.

On July 24, patient Hoang Thi X, 58 years old in An Chau town was hospitalized at the district General Hospital with severe disease infection and urgent requirement of blood transfusion for first aid.

At that time, the blood reserve at the hospital was limited. Dealing with the emergency case, Doctor Hua Van Hung voluntarily donated more than one unit of blood to help the patient escape the serious moment.

Previously, two medical officers of the hospital were commended by the Department of Health for donating their blood to save the patient suffering from the maternal hemorrhage.
