Grandmaster Nguyen Thi Mai Hung wins Blitz chess gold medal at 2022 National Chess Championship
The tourney was co-organized by Vietnam Chess Federation, Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism in Bac Giang in Bac Giang provincial Conventional Hall from February 23 to March 5, drawing more than 100 grandmasters from 18 provincies, cities and sectors.

16 chess players from Bac Giang delegation joined three events for male and female, including standard chess, rapid chess and blitz chess.
Grandmaster Nguyen Thi Mai Hung is one of four best faces across the nation with several titles like Champion title at U14 Asian Chess Championship in 2007, gold medal at U16 Asian Chess Championship in 2010, Champion title at National Chess Championship in 2011, 2013 among other international award.
To date, the players have completed blitz and rapid chess events and continued the standard chess category. As schedule, the event will be completed on March 5 with six sets of medals for excellent athletes.
Basing on this tourney result, the Vietnam Sports Administration and Vietnam Chess Federation will select grandmasters to national team to compete at international events in 2022 – 2023 as well as upcoming 31st SEA Games in May.
