The Thailand Ultimate Chef Challenge is one of Asia’s prestigious professional culinary competitions and is organised according to the standards of the World Association of Chefs' Societies.
This year’s competition brought together thousands of chefs, culinary experts, international judges and teams from various countries and territories.
It provides a professional environment where chefs can showcase their skills and competitive spirit while gaining exposure to the latest global culinary trends.
The Ha Noi Chefs Team participated in the competition with five members, led by Nguyen Van Tu, an Iron Chef, as head of the delegation.
Accompanying the team was a coaching board comprising five experienced experts, headed by Chef Nguyen Cong Chung, Executive Chef of Sheraton Ha Noi Hotel, who served as chief coach.
To prepare for the competition, team members underwent months of intensive training.
Under the guidance of the coaching board, the contestants continuously completed their dish concepts, improved their cooking techniques, presentation skills and competition discipline in order to meet the demanding standards of an international contest.
In the context of their first time competing abroad, winning two bronze medals is a remarkable achievement, demonstrating the determination and perseverance of the athletes, as well as the effectiveness of their systematic professional training.
According to a team representative, the goal of the Ha Noi Chefs Team extends beyond success in a single competition. It aims to build a new generation of highly skilled chefs capable of integrating into and competing within the international culinary profession.
Through professional competitions, the team hopes to provide young chefs with opportunities to learn, gain experience, enhance their expertise and gradually affirm the position of Ha Noi's culinary professionals on the regional and global culinary map.
