Hai Duong to launch first-ever pedestrian street and night market in late April

The first-ever pedestrian street and night market in the northern city of Hai Duong will launch on April 28 and open every Saturday and Sunday evening.

According to a recent announcement of the city People’s Committee, the walking street and night market in Hai Duong City will cover the area of Thong Nhat Square, the section from Bui Thi Xuan Street to Hong Quang Bridge, the section from the beginning of Bach Dang Street to the Provincial Gymnasium, the section from Hong Quang Bridge to the Provincial Gymnasium, and Nguyen Hai Thanh Street.

The area will be set up with spaces for outdoor activities, booths displaying local specialties and goods that meet standards of the One Commune, One Product (OCOP) programme, a cuisine corner, and venues for art performances.

The launch of the pedestrian street and night market aims to advertise the city’s culture and tourism potential while serving as an entertainment venue for both local residents and visitors to the locality.
