In the next five years, 20 luxury hotels with about 20,000 rooms will enter the market. Some are expected to be constructed in Hoan Kiem district, near Hoan Kiem (Returned Sword) Lake, in the heart of the city.
Hanoitourist Travel Company plans to build a hotel at No.1 Ba Trieu Street and renovate Hoa Binh hotel on Ly Thuong Kiet Street. Meanwhile, a new 300-room hotel complex is planned to sit on Thai Ha street, Dong Da district, a 500-room hotel in My Dinh, Nam Tu Liem
The city will pay special attention to branching out new tourism products, popularising the city’s images to domestic and international friends and linking with other localities to develop tourism.
This year, the city is striving to welcome 23.61 million travellers, a year-on-year increase of 8 percent, with the number of foreign tourists standing at 4.3 million.
