The amount was equivalent to 59.5% of the city’s yearly plan.

Highest growth was reported in the banking sector, which exceeded 21.61 trillion VND, a 93% surge from the same period last year. It was followed by revenue from securities businesses that hit over 2.1 trillion VND, up 74% year-on-year.

Hanoi’s budget collection climbs nearly 25% in seven months.

Revenue from real estate and construction totalled 5.59 trillion VND, up 37%.

The department has taken drastic measures to prevent revenue loss and at the same time, enforce collection of all taxes owed, said Nguyen Tien Truong, Deputy Director of the Hanoi Customs Department.

So far this year, it has collected close to 4.14 trillion VND in tax arrears, and cooperated with the municipal Department of Planning and Investment to revoke business registration certificates of 191 taxpayers who owed 559 billion VND in total, he added.

He further noted that the department has been providing all possible conditions in terms of administrative procedures for taxpayers to fulfill their obligations, given that many businesses have gone through various hardships caused by Covid-19.

Bac Giang: Total budget collection up 23.1 percent in first half of 2022

(BGO) - The total budget collection of Bac Giang province was estimated at 9,386 billion VND (404 million USD) in the first six months, accounting for 65.8 percent of the estimation and increasing 23.1 percent year on year.

7 out of 16 budget revenues in Bac Giang exceed the same period figures

(BGO)- According to the Taxation Department of Bac Giang province, the total budget revenue in the first 6 months this year is estimated at 8.3 trillion VND (356 million USD), up nearly 24 percent and equivalent to 66.5 percent against the province’s full-year target.

Vietnam climbs 9 places in the Open Budget Survey 2021

Vietnam ranked 68th of 120 countries in the 2021 Open Budget Survey (OBS), up nine places from 2019 and 23 notches compared to 2017, according to the Ministry of Finance.

Budget revenue up 7.7% in first quarter of 2022

Vietnam’s government revenue in the first three months of 2022 was estimated at 460.6 trillion VND (20.1 billion USD), equivalent to 32.6% of the full-year target and up 7.7% over the same period last year.
