On July 8, 2007, in the tournament opener against the UAE, Vinh beat the offside trap and delicately lobbed the keeper to score the second goal for Vietnam and secure a 2-0 victory.

Schrock’s goal in a group stage match against Kyrgyzstan was also a stunner, a free-kick from 37 meters out into the net.

In the quarterfinals, Vinh will go up against the winner of the matchup between former Uzbek forward Alexander Geynrikh and South Korean midfielder Kim Jung-woo. The voting for this ends on September 2.
