BAC GIANG - Recently, the price of
oranges in Luc Ngan district (Bac Giang province) has increased. Many traders
have come to place order in different gardens. Local people are focusing on
harvesting the fruit and earning billions of VND from the orange crop during
Tet occasion.
Lam Thi Binh in Quy Son commune (Luc Ngan district) said that the local are very excited because the selling price of oranges has increased sharply due to a decrease in orange output this year.

From now until Tet holiday, orange prices may increase more. Currently, the whole gardens of sweet oranges are ordered by traders with the price ranging from 50-70,000 VND per kg while the yellow flesh orange is sold at 25-30,000 VND per kg.

According to the Luc Ngan district Division of Agriculture and Rural Development, to date, the locality has consumed more than 25,500 tonnes of oranges and grapefruits (including more than 10,000 tonnes of grapefruits and more than 15,000 tonnes of oranges of all kinds).
