Martial artist Nguyen Thi Thu Thuy wins silver medal at world wushu championship

athletes competed at the ongoing World Wushu Championship held in China. Excellently,
the Bac Giang born martial artist Nguyen Thi Thu Thuy won a silver at the final
match on October 23.
Competing at the weight group of 55kg, Thuy defeated her rivals from Sri Lanka and Turkey in the quarter final and semi final respectively. Though Thuy suffered a lost to the athlete of the host country, she continues affirmed her level in the international arena.

Martial artist Nguyen Thi Thu Thuy was born in 1998 in Tan Yen district, Bac Giang province. The Vietnamese excellent wushu artist used to join and win many medals at the big national and international events.
(BGO) – Despite being a young Wushu artist who
has competed in the big sports arenas, Nghiem Van Y (born in 1999) from Quyen
village, Ngoc Son commune, Hiep Hoa district (Bac Giang province) has surprised
the fans with a bronze medal obtained at the 18th Asian Games recently held in
Indonesia.
Wushu artist Pham Quoc Khanh and weightlifter Trinh Van Vinh clinched two more silver medals for Vietnam at the ongoing 2018 Asian Games (Asiad) in Indonesia following their second-place finishes in the men’s nanquan and nangun all-around event and the men’s 62kg category, respectively, on August 21.
Vietnam ended their title drought at the world event, winning a gold medal in sanda (combat) at the World Wushu Championships, which closed in Kazan, Russia, on October 3.
Tran Thi Khanh Ly won her second silver medal at the World Wushu Championships in Kazan, Russia, on October 1.
“Hot girl” Duong Thuy Vi brought home the first gold medal for Vietnam at the ongoing 14th World Wushu Championships in Kazan, Russia on October 1, after overcoming 16 competitors to take the top honour in the women’s Qiangshu event.
