Martial artist Nguyen Thi Thu Thuy wins silver medal at world wushu championship

(BGO) – 14 Vietnamese athletes competed at the ongoing World Wushu Championship held in China. Excellently, the Bac Giang born martial artist Nguyen Thi Thu Thuy won a silver at the final match on October 23.

Competing at the weight group of 55kg, Thuy defeated her rivals from Sri Lanka and Turkey in the quarter final and semi final respectively. Though Thuy suffered a lost to the athlete of the host country, she continues affirmed her level in the international arena.

Martial artist Nguyen Thi Thu Thuy was born in 1998 in Tan Yen district, Bac Giang province. The Vietnamese excellent wushu artist used to join and win many medals at the big national and international events.
