Golfers competed at the 15th annual golf charity tournament "Swing for the Kids".

With the enthusiastic participation of nearly 240 golfers from domestic and international diplomatic agencies and organisations, as well as a large number of businessmen and foreign investors, the tournament took place successfully.

According to Le Trong Minh, Editor-in-Chief of Dau Tu (Investment) Newspaper, Head of the organising board of the tournament, for the past two weeks, the entire country has been bustling with images of students returning to school after many months of online learning due to the Covid-19 epidemic. "We gather together today for a meaningful event, contributing to the development of future generations and the education of the country," he said.

He said that despite the start of the tournament today, the weather was not favourable, with heavy rain showers slowing the opening ceremony a bit. However, the organising board was extremely emotional when almost all of the 240 golfers were present at the course.

The organising board commits that the entire amount will be directly transferred by the Dau Tu Newspaper and the Vietnam Fund for Learning Promotion to poor students per the regulations and criteria of the Scholarship Fund for Vietnamese Children, as soon as possible.

Right at the Gala, Le Trong Minh also awarded the Director of the Vietnam Fund for Learning Promotion 300 million VND, funding the scholarship programme and supporting the study promotion of the Scholarship Fund for Vietnamese Children.
