More than 7,700 poor households receive Tet gifts in Bac Ninh
BAC NINH - More than 7,700 poor households in the northern province of Bac Ninh will receive gifts for the Lunar New Year 2026.
The provincial Committee overseeing the “For the Poor” Fund said it would allocate funds to provide Tet gifts to all poor households in the province, with each gift package valued at 1.3 million VND (57 USD).

A review showed that 7,783 households classified as poor will benefit from the programme ahead of the holiday.
Notably, four wards of Kinh Bac, Ninh Xa, Phuong Lieu and Que Vo no longer have poor households under the poverty line criteria for the 2026–2030 period.
However, local chapters of the Vietnam Fatherland Front in these wards said they would continue mobilising funds to support poor households in other localities, helping them celebrate Tet in a warm and festive atmosphere.
In addition, Fatherland Front committees at all levels across the province are coordinating with member organisations and relevant agencies to encourage businesses and benefactors to assist near-poor households and families facing special or sudden hardships, aiming to ensure that every household can enjoy the Lunar New Year.
