According to the Ministry of Finance, there were 24,400 new enterprises established in Viet Nam with total registered capital of 176.8 trillion VND (6.8 billion USD), up 60.5% in number and 21.2% in capital compared to the same period last year.

The number of newly established in the first half of 2025 rose 60.51% compared to the same period last year.

The number of newly formed household businesses in June also rose by 118.4% from the same month last year, reaching over 124,300.

Overall, the number of new enterprises in the first half of the year was nearly 91,200, up 60.51%. The number of businesses resuming operations during the period increased by 57.22% to over 61,500.

These results are attributed to a number of new policies, including the Politburo’s Resolution 68 and National Assembly’s Resolution 198 on the private sector, which consider it an important driver of the economy.

The National Assembly also passed revisions to the Law on Enterprises, helping to promptly address bottlenecks in business and production activities.

Such policies have enhanced the business community’s confidence in steady growth in the time ahead.

According to a recent survey of manufacturing companies by the Ministry of Finance, 35.7% have reported better business performance in the second quarter compared to the previous quarter, while 43% reported stable performance in the second quarter.

Looking forward, 37.3% of enterprises said they expect a better outlook in the third quarter, while 43.5% expect business to remain stable in the July-September period.
