Nguyen Thi Oanh successfully competes in women’s 5,000-metre steeplechase.

After SEA Games 29 in Malaysia, Nguyen Thi Oanh has been continuously crown the champion in women’s 5,000- meter steeplechase at some competitions of the National Tournament 2017, Tien Phong Newspaper Marathon 2018 and the Ho Chi Minh International Track & Field Vietnam 2018. 

This is the second time Oanh gained the highest position in the 5000-meter steeplechase at this international tourney.

This tourney ends today on July 27. Nguyen Thi Oanh will continue to attend another category of women’s 1,500- meter steeplechase in the morning while she and the Bac Giang’s athlete team will compete for the female’s 4x800-meter relay race in the afternoon.

The Ho Chi Minh International Track & Field 2018 sees the participation of about 500 athletes from 11 countries and territories (mainly from Southeast Asia) and 45 provinces and cities nationwide. Particularly, Bac Giang province attends this tourney with 16 athletes.
