Over 340 Vietnamese citizens brought home from the US

More than 340 Vietnamese citizens have been brought home safely from the US on a Vietnam Airlines flight which took off from San Francisco airport on June 7.

The flight was arranged by the US and Vietnamese authorities, Vietnamese representative agencies in the US, and the national flag carrier Vietnam Airlines.

The passengers were all Vietnamese citizens from various states in the US and mainly consisted of children, the elderly, the sick, and students who have no accommodation due to the closure of dormitories.

After landing at Noi Bai International Airport in Hanoi, all passengers were provided with medical health check-ups and were placed under quarantine.

More flights will be arranged in the future based on the developments of the Covid-19 pandemic, the demand of overseas Vietnamese, and the quarantine capacity of local facilities.
