According to Luu Duy Dan, President of the Vietnam Craft Villages Association, the exhibition features more than 50 booths by war invalids and organizations of people with disabilities from nine provinces and cities, particularly Ho Chi Minh City, Quang Nam and Hue, where many people have become national artisans and craftspersons.
The programme has social, political and humanitarian significance. It also contributes to evoking patriotism, pride and responsibility among Vietnamese people, especially the younger generations.
Meanwhile, it’s also a call to the community to support the consumption of products by victims of Agent Orange/dioxin and people with disabilities. At the event, three works will go under the hammer to donate the proceedings to the exhibition and charity programme.
