The programme is among a series of its kind held by the Big C supermarket chain to promote Vietnam’s agricultural products, which have helped cooperatives, households and farmers to consume nearly 10,000 tonnes of vegetables, fruits, fish and meat over the past year.

According to a representative of the Central Group, dragon fruit is a key agricultural product of Binh Thuan Province. The product is also part of the national "One Commune, One Product" programme which the Group is supporting.

The Group’s promotional activities and programmes aim to reaffirm its commitment to support Vietnamese goods and products of Binh Thuan province in particular.

Binh Thuan is Vietnam's hub for dragon fruit, most of which is exported to China.
