The project marks a strategic transition following an eight-year initiative from 2018 to 2025, during which Kenan Foundation Asia worked with the Ministry of Education and Training’s Department of General Education, with Boeing sponsorship, to build a sustainable STEM education foundation in Vietnam and meet demand for highly skilled workers in aviation and high-tech industries.

The first phase, in 2026, will begin with intensive training for 15 trainers, with the project eventually targeting 45 trainers.

Training will cover technical expertise, soft skills, digital and artificial intelligence skills, green skills, and occupational health, safety and environmental (OHSE) standards in the aviation sector.

The trainers will then pass on their knowledge to at least 400 students, helping them develop technical expertise and workplace safety awareness.

The project will also strengthen trainers’ capabilities and incorporate businesses’ practical requirements into training, while promoting closer links between colleges and companies.

It aims to help students better understand professional standards, workplace culture, safety and working environments, preparing them for quality job opportunities in aviation and supporting industries.
