Providing optimal conditions for customs clearance of Bac Giang’ lychee exported to China

(BGO) - This is opinion of Hao Yun, member of the municipal Party Committee, Vice Mayor of Pingxiang city, Guangxi, China when Duong Van Thai, Vice Chairman of the Bac Giang provincial People’s Committee (Vietnam) and the province’s delegation paid a courtesy visit to Pingxiang municipal leader on 23 May on the occasion of the Conference on lychee consumption and promotion for the cultural, tourism and agricultural products of Bac Giang in Pingxiang on 24 May.

The event was also attended by representatives of the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the Consulate General of Vietnam in Nanning, China, related agencies of Bac Giang province and the people’s committee of Luc Ngan and Tan Yen districts.

From Pingxiang city, there were representatives of the Department of border gate management and Department of investment promotion.

At the visit, Bac Giang Vice Chairman Duong Van Thai expressed his pleasure for the respectful and warm welcome by the Pingxiang municipal leaders.

According to Duong Van Thai, the lychee output of Bac Giang this year decreased compared to the previous year but its quality was improved with bigger size and better appearance.

This year, Vietnam’s agricultural products were required to be labelled with products’ traceability information to be exported to China. Duong Van Thai expected the leaders and competent agencies of Pingxiang city to provide regular support to jointly surmount difficulties and facilitate customs clearance especially for lychee product.

“Bac Giang’s government will direct and instruct local people and traders to ensure quality of lychee product meeting export requirements”, said Vice Chairman Duong Van Thai.

According to Vice Mayor of Pingxiang city Hao Yun, Chinese consumers really like Vietnamese agricultural products. Thus, the volume of Vietnamese agricultural products exported to China in recent years has been increased.

“I believe that thanks to the friendship between the two localities in line with Bac Giang’s efforts in improving quality of the products, the agricultural products of Bac Giang province will have many opportunities to penetrate the large market of China”, said Hao Yun.

Hao Yun added, the new regulation on traceability, packaging and clear origin of lychee is aimed to ensure food safety and hygiene.

In implementation process, the authorities of Pingxiang will pay attention to surmounting difficulties and facilitating rapid custom clearance of lychee.

On this occasion, Hao Yun accepted the invitation to the conference on lychee consumption and promotion of the cultural, tourism and agricultural products of Bac Giang in Pingxiang on 24 May.

Luc Ngan lychee yields some 80,000 tonnes
(BGO) – This year, Luc Ngan district in the northern province of Bac Giang has totally cultivated 15,290 hectares of lychee with an expected output of about 80,000 tonnes including 1,850 hectares of early ripen lychee (accounting for 12.1 percent) and 13,440 hectares of main season lychee (making up 87.9 percent). The harvest time will be scheduled on May 20.
 
Tradesmen’s suggestion for lychee consumption
(BGO) – Though the lychee productivity is estimated to be lower this year due to unfavourable weather condition, the area of lychee cultivation under safe standard is expanded in the northern province of Bac Giang. To ease the consumption and introduce the lychee to a wider range of customers, especially in the Central and Southern regions, the entrepreneurs have contributed many suggestions to the local authority, sectors and growers.
 
Bac Giang produces 20 hectares of organic lychee
(BGO) – Targetting to enhance the lychee quality and supply quality product to customers, Luc Ngan district (Bac Giang province) has focused on applying high technology in lychee production, in which the district will cultivate 20 hectares of organic lychee in 2019.
 
40 hectares of Luc Ngan lychee granted with GlobalGAP certificate
(BGO) – This year, the Department of  Agriculture and Rural Development in Bac Giang province targets to grant the GlobalGAP certificate to 106 households growing 40 hectares of  lychees in the communes of Quy Son, Thanh Hai, Hong Giang and Giap Son (Luc Ngan district).
 
Two “morning stars” in the land of lychee
(BGO)- The final night of Sao Mai (Morning Star) contest 2019 finished on 14 April. As forecasts of many people, the young girl born in 1993 from Luc Ngan district in the northern province of Bac Giang, Luong Hai Yen won the contest in chamber music category.
