Saigon gets in style for international fashion week

The event attracted nearly 30 fashion designers and brands from Vietnam, China’s Taiwan, Singapore, Israel, Italy and France.
Founder of the week Trang Le shared that this year’s event features the theme “East meets West” to create a venue for domestic and foreign designers to exchange and promote cultural connectivity.

“The dream of a fashion industry in Vietnam is nearing as we have leading fashion brands and some world-renowned designers are present at the fashion week,” she said.

Goalkeeper Bui Tien Dung wowed audiences on the closing day of the fashion week when appearing on stage as vedette. Dung repeatedly made headlines in January when he helped Vietnam’s U23 football team break into the final match of the U23 Asian Cup in China, marking the very first time in history that a team from Southeast Asia had ever gone that far. |
She hoped visitors will have an opportunity to enjoy new, modern and impressive fashion styles during the week.
