Secretary Bui Van Hai visits and presents gifts to outstanding older persons

(BGO) – On the occasion of the 27th anniversary of International Day of Older Persons October 1 (1991 - 2018). Bui Van Hai, Member of Central Party Committee, Secretary of the Bac Giang provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the provincial People’s Council on September 21 visited and presented gifts to two outstanding older persons in Bac Giang city.

The beneficiaries are Hoang The Ngoc (born in 1928) in residential group 2B, Nguyen Cong Hang street, Tran Nguyen Han ward and Nghiem Xuan Hiep (born in 1932) in residential group Quang Trung, Quang Trung street, Tran Phu ward.

They are exemplary older persons in strict obedience of the Party’s policies and Government’s law who are highly appreciated in the community for their positive contribution and prestige to the local movements.

Secretary Hai was accompanied by Nguyen Sy Nhan, Member of provincial Party Committee’s Standing Board, Secretary of municipal Party Committee and leader of Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs.

At the destinations, Secretary Hai, on behalf of the provincial leaders, asked after the health and living conditions of the elderly and their families, wishing them healthy, longevity and encouraging them to bring into play the tradition of getting older better spirit as the exemplary model for the youngster.

Besides, the older persons were encouraged to keep teaching the descendant to actively work and study while further involving in the social affairs to build the cultural life.

Secretary Hai took the occasion to request the local authority to pay more due attention to improving the living standards of the older persons in the area.

(BGO) – The Bac Giang provincial Elderly Association on July 23 organized a ceremony honoring the Chairpersons of the Elderly Associations (EA) in the communes, wards and towns as well as outstanding Heads of the Elderly Divisions (ED) in the provincial level for the period of 2012 – 2017.
