Thousands of drivers commemorate victims of road traffic accident

(BGO) – Under the motto of “Commemorate the gone – For the present”, thousands of drivers in several roads in Bac Giang province at 9 am on November 18 stopped their vehicles and went down the street for a minute to commemorate the victims killed in road traffic accidents.

Accordingly, the provincial Traffic Safety Board set up 3 province – level points alongside the national road no.1 crossing the national road No.31 (Bac Giang city) and provincial road no.295 in Voi town and the intersection in Kep town (Lang Giang district).

Drivers on the national road no.1 (Lang Giang district) go down the road to commemorate the victims of the traffic accident.

Nearly 40 traffic police officers under the provincial Public Security, traffic inspector, youth members and wardens presented early to secure the traffic safety to the commemorative ceremony for the victims.

Responding to this event, there included about 30 district – level points and hundreds of commune-level points established to commemorate the victims of road crashes in the province.

Director of the Department of Transport, Vice Chief of the provincial Traffic Safety Board Bui The Son instructs the execution of commemorative ceremony at the point crossing between national road no.1 and provincial road no.295 (Lang Giang district).

Apart from that, thousands of traffic safety leaflet were handed over to the drivers and commuters to alarm the risk and consequences of the road accident so that they can raise the preventive measure actively.

Within the event framework, the Traffic Safety Boards in the province and localities on November 1-15 visited and presented the gifts to the disadvantaged families whose relatives were victims of road crashes, totally worth some 90 million VND (over 3,800 USD).
