During the meeting, Chung responded to concerns raised by union representatives, including proposals to improve traffic safety for workers commuting to industrial zones and issues related to trade union finances. He also outlined key priorities for grassroots unions in the coming period.
He urged local trade unions to continue effectively implementing the resolution of the 14th Congress of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour, strengthen engagement with union members and employees, and better understand workers' concerns and aspirations.
Chung called on grassroots unions to further reform their activities to make them more practical and effective, improve the quality of workplace dialogue and collective bargaining, and promote labour productivity campaigns that support both employees' welfare and enterprises' business performance.
The meeting forms part of Bac Ninh's broader efforts to enhance labour relations and strengthen the role of trade unions in one of Vietnam's largest manufacturing hubs, home to major domestic and foreign-invested electronics producers.
During the programme, Bao Hung International JSC donated employee welfare gifts worth 100 million VND (3,800 USD) to workers.
ECO Vietnam Clean Water Technology Co., Ltd. also presented 1,000 alkaline water ionizer machines to the Bac Ninh Provincial Federation of Labour to support worker welfare initiatives.
