The World Travel Awards for Asia, Oceania and the Indian Ocean were given away in the Maldives on Sept. 27.

InterContinental Danang Sun Peninsula Resort won the award for Asia's Leading Luxury Resort, and JW Marriott Phu Quoc Emerald Bay Resort & Spa for both Asia's Leading Luxury Resort & Spa and Asia's Leading Luxury Wedding Resort.

The former has been winning every year since 2014.

JW Marriott Phu Quoc Emerald Bay has also maintained a strong record in the luxury categories.

It was earlier Asia's Leading Luxury Resort & Spa every year from 2019 to 2024, and has been the Leading Luxury Wedding Resort since 2022.

Banyan Tree Lang Co was named Asia's Leading Luxury Beach Resort, keeping the award it has been winning every year since 2021.

The Vietnamese awards extended beyond resort properties.

Capella Hanoi was named Asia's Leading Luxury Boutique Hotel, while Nha Trang Marriott Resort & Spa, Salinda Resort Phu Quoc Island, Six Senses Con Dao, Hôtel des Arts Saigon - MGallery Collection, and Shilla Monogram Danang won in specialized categories.

Established in 1993, the World Travel Awards recognize leading destinations and businesses in both regional and global categories each year.
