Vietnamese police team wins ASEAN Police Football title
Viet Nam People’s Police Team II secured a convincing 4-0 victory over Cambodia in the final of the ASEAN Police Football Open 2025 held at Hang Day Stadium in Hanoi on July 15.
The tournament, held from July 7 to 15 in Hanoi and its neighbouring province Hung Yen, brought together police teams from ASEAN countries and Australia to promote solidarity, sportsmanship, and regional cooperation.

At the closing ceremony, attended by senior officials including Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh and Deputy Minister of Public Security Senior Lieutenant General Tran Quoc To, the champions received the trophy and a 30,000 USD prize. Runner-up Cambodia earned 15,000 USD, while Thailand and Timor Leste shared the third place with 5,000 USD each.
Viet Nam’s Tran Duc Nam was honoured with both the tournament’s top scorer with eight goals and the Best Player title.
Thai goalkeeper Nattawoot Saengdara received the Best Goalkeeper award, while Laos was awarded the Fair Play award.
