The event forms part of activities to implement the Memorandum of Understanding signed on August 22, 2023, between the former Bac Giang provincial People’s Court and the Xaysomboun provincial People’s Court.

During the seminar, judges discussed various judicial and adjudication topics, including conditions for amnesty and special pardons.

Acting Chief Judge of Xaysomboun People’s Court Khampay Xay Nyasouk thanked Bac Ninh’s judges for sharing professional experiences.

He proposed that Bac Ninh send personnel to Xaysomboun to provide support and short-term training, particularly in civil procedure and land-related matters. Xaysomboun also suggested sending two court staff to Bac Ninh for study visits.

Chief Judge of Bac Ninh People’s Court Mai Anh Tai acknowledged the proposals and said he would summarise and report them to the Supreme People’s Court.

He expressed confidence that judicial cooperation between the two provinces would become increasingly close, effective and substantive.

Earlier, leaders of the two courts held talks, updating each other on their local socio-economic situations and achievements in implementing the 2021 Cooperation Agreement between former Bac Giang province and Xaysomboun province authorities.
