Yen The improves quality of public services

Updated: 09:34, 21/12/2023
BAC GIANG - Recently, the People's Committee of Yen The district, Bac Giang province and those of its communes and towns have paid attention to training staff and upgrading facilities and equipment at the one-stop shops to better meet requirements and create convenience for people who come to handle administrative procedures.

With a population of nearly 6,000, every day the unit receiving and returning administrative procedure results (one-stop shop) in Dong Huu commune has received from 40 to 50 citizens coming for administrative procedures.

To improve the quality of service to the people, in July 2023, the communal People's Committee allocated more than 400 million VND (16,430 USD) to repair and renovate the reception area. Thanks to that, the quality of handling administrative procedures in the commune has improved and citizens now no longer have to wait long.

In other communes and towns in the district, the settlement of administrative procedures is also faster and more convenient. To date, 15 out of 19 communes and towns have successfully built a friendly government model, and their one-stop shops have been upgraded.

In 2023, the entire district has received and processed more than 31,200 dossiers, of which nearly 98% were handled before the deadline or on time. The number of overdue documents accounted for only 1.2%, while the rest are being processed. The rate of online public services also increased from 30% in 2022 to 95.7% in 2023.

Right at the beginning of the year, the district People's Committee requested agencies, units, and People's Committees of communes and towns to review and consolidate personnel working at the one-stop shops. In 2023 alone, the district has sent 50 staff members to information technology training classes, and all personnel working at the one-stop shops have been trained on the process of processing administrative procedures.

Quarterly, the Office the district People's Council and People's Committee organizes inspections and evaluates the results of fixing limitations at the one-stop shops of communes and towns, and at the same time issues documents to remind agencies and units that have not strictly observed regulations on processing administrative procedures.

Thanks to that, clear changes have been seen in the implementation of the one-stop-shop mechanism in the entire district. All staff working at the one-stop shops hold a university degree or higher and have worked for at least three years. They are highly responsible, enthusiastic, friendly, and have good information technology qualifications.

In the 2021-2025 period, each year, the district People's Committee will spend about 15 billion VND (616,140 USD) for digital transformation, of which 2 billion VND will be invested in facilities and equipment at the district- and commune-level one-stop shops.

In 2024, priority will be given to supporting Tan Hiep, Tam Hiep, Tam Tien and Canh Nau communes to perfect the criteria of the friendly government model. Commune-level People's Committee headquarters will be renovated and repaired, while the one-stop shops will be arranged in convenient locations with a wide enough area.
