Strictly following breeding procedures and techniques, over the years, he has always kept his farm safe from diseases. In 2022 alone, Quy sold more than 130 tons of commercial chickens. Taking advantage of chicken waste, he has planted more than 8 hectares of new-variety eucalyptus trees that are about to be harvested.
In recent years, he has earned 2-3 billion VND (85,224-127,836 USD) from raising chickens every year. At the end of 2022, he was the district’ role model attending the 6th National Conference honoring farmers with good production and business performance in the 2017-2022 period.
Another typical example of getting rich from farming is the family of Hoang Van Thanh in Ven village, Xuan Luong commune. In 2009, he started growing tea, and now has nearly 1 hectare of tea. Every year, his family earns 300-350 million VND (12,783-14,914 USD) in profit.
During the harvest season, his family sometimes hires 5-6 seasonal workers for 250,000-300,000 VND per person per day. In addition, he also planted more than 60 pomelo trees to increase income. For many years, his family was recognized as a good production and business household in the district.
Identifying the farmer emulation movement for good production and business as the focus, the Yen The farmers associations at all levels have actively guided members to register for the title of good production and business households at all levels according to the criteria; coordinated in technical transfer; and directed the construction of demonstration models.
In the past 5 years, Yen The has reported more than 35,000 farming households achieving the title at four levels (more than 7,000 good production and business households per year on average), exceeding the set target by 10-15%. In 2022, the whole district had more than 71,000 farming households achieving the title at all levels. Many households in the past had difficult economic conditions, thanks to their dynamism, daring to think, daring to do, and studying hard, they have risen to become well-off households.
From this movement, there have been many typical cooperation models with high economic efficiency such as raising commercial goats in Hong Ky, Xuan Luong, and Dong Tien communes; raising ducks and fish for commercial purposes in Tien Thang commune; raising deer in Dong Huu and Dong Son communes; growing pomelo in An Thuong and Dong Lac communes; growing longan in Dong Ky commune; and growing tea in Xuan Luong and Canh Nau communes…
The models give an average annual income of 250 million-1 billion VND (10,650-42,612 USD) per year, even 2-4 billion VND per year. Many households have established small and medium-sized enterprises, cooperative groups and cooperatives; expanded their scale and increased production and business efficiency.

Nong Van Tam, Chairman of the Xuan Luong commune Farmers' Association, said that recently, the goat breeding and tea growing models in the commune has developed very strongly. Currently, the commune boasts a herd of about 8,000 goats. The association has actively organized contests and seminars to share experience in economic development.
The movement has contributed to the effective implementation of the district's socio-economic development goals, as well as to building and strengthening a strong association.
Luc Thi Lan, Chairwoman of the district Farmers' Association, said that the movement has created a driving force for farmers to actively change the agricultural production structure, form specialized farming areas, create strong products, and promote chain production.
At the same time, it has made an important contribution to building new-style rural areas, creating solidarity and mutual support to help each other in poverty reduction, thus maintaining political stability, social order and safety in rural areas.
